Michael Jackson's mum devastated to lose custody of his kids
Katherine Jackson has spoken out for the first time since having son Michael's children taken away from her.
Michael Jackson's mum "devastated" to lose custody of his kids
The 82-year-old sparked fears she'd been kidnapped when she went missing for 10 days earlier this month, leaving Paris, Blanket and Prince Michael alone in the house.
She told ABC News: "There are rumours going around about me that I have been kidnapped. I am here today to let everybody to know that I am good and fine.
"My children would never do anything to me like that."
Katherine revealed that she went away because she needed a "short vacation and rest up" but "put everything in order with the appropriate people" to take care of the children while she was away.
Katherine seemed confused during the television interview, in which she also revealed why she didn't get in touch with the youngsters.
She said: "One reason I haven't called is I just gave up my phone and I didn't want to have any phone calls while I was here."
Pop legend Michael died at the age of 50 in 2009 and in his will left his estate and his three children with his mother.
But now she is no longer their carer after a judge awarded temporary guardianship of the trio to their cousin TJ.
TJ - the son of Michael's brother Tito - had been staying with Prince, 15, Paris, 14, and Blanket, 10, in their grandmother's absence.
Katherine continued: "I am devastated that while I've been away, that my children, my grandchildren, have been taken away from me, and I'm coming home to see about that, also.
"She went on to claim that the move was "based on a bunch of lies."
