Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth confirmed their split earlier this week - but it seems it wasn't a clean break for them both.
The former couple were dogged by rumours of a break-up for months before finally confirming they'd gone their separate ways, soon after Miley had unfollowed Liam on Twitter.
But it seems 23-year-old Liam is coping better than Miley, 20, in the wake of their split.
Life & Style magazine has claimed that just days before the break-up was announced, "Miley was telling people Liam loves her".
Though the twerking queen has a rather tough exterior and claims not to care what people think, Liam is clearly her weak point.

She's reportedly still in touch with the actor - but it seems it's very much a one-sided thing.
The source continued to Life & Style: "She texts him so much, especially super late at night.
"His friends joke about it. Liam doesn’t want to be mean - but he wants to be single."
But it looks like his single plan isn't working out, as the actor has been spotted getting close to Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, 23.
Earlier this week Liam visited Eiza at her apartment, where the pair were seen kissing next to his car.
Days earlier, they'd been putting on a flirty display at a VIP club in Las Vegas.

Partying with friends, they soon moved to a more private cabana and a snap shows the leggy blonde flashing her enviably long legs while sat on a sideboard - as Liam watches on.
To cope with the news of Liam 's new squeeze, it seems Miley is trying to focus her attentions elsewhere.
The singer - whose new bad girl image and recent controversial performances are said to have contributed to the split – has apparently been finding comfort in music producer, Mike WiLL Made It.
Snaps of the pair show them cuddling up for the cameras, Miley in the skimpy white outfit she wears in her Wrecking Ball video.
It's a good job these two called off their engagement - it seems neither is ready to settle down just yet.
