Rihanna's new shocking tattoo tribute to late grandmother
Rihanna’s love of ink is well known, but the Russian Roulette singer’s latest piece of body art is without a doubt the biggest and most shocking so far.
The tattoo is an image of the Egyptian goddess Isis and is a tribute to Rihanna's late beloved grandmother Dolly, who died from cancer in July.
The large inking spans the 24-year-old’s ribcage, covering the area between and underneath her breasts.
Clearly pleased with the results, the A-list singer tweeted a revealing snap of the artwork, taking care to cover her modesty with her arm.
She captioned the Instagram photo: “Goddess Isis - Complete Woman - Model for future generations - #GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart #1love”.
Rihanna visited a tattoo parlour in Soho to get tattooed, just before she took to the stage with Coldplay and mentor Jay-Z for the London Paralympic closing ceremony in Stratford.
She looked stunning in head to toe scarlet and showed off her dramatic new pixie crop hairstyle.
But opinionated CNN host Piers Morgan, who was watching the concert, admitted on Twitter that he wasn’t a fan of Rihanna’s new haircut.
He wrote: “I think @Rihanna needs to grow her hair back. Fast."
The outspoken Rude Boy singer wasn’t going to let that one slide and fired back at the original tweet: "Grow a dick..... FAST!!!!"
The 47-year-old, who's quite used to being disliked by celebrities, took the opportunity to ask Rihanna if she fancied being a guest on his show - and surprisingly it seems the Bajan popstar may have agreed.
And Piers is already looking forward to grilling the We Found Love singer: “Going to be one hell of an interview now @rihanna - bring your A-game, lady. #CNN.”
