It appears rumours that Robert Pattinson has taken back Kristen Stewart are untrue.

The Twilight actor is reportedly willing to be civil with his ex and co-star when they promote the final movie in the Twilight Saga together - but only for the sake of his career.

A source told The Sun: "It's a purely business decision. He's keen to make sure fans and Hollywood see he can be professional when it comes to Kristen."

Rob, 26, split with Kristen in July after she confessed to cheating on him with her married Snow White And The Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.

As a result, Rob moved out of their home and has kept tight-lipped about the situation in interviews - but only yesterday it was claimed that he had forgiven the 22-year-old.

Laineygossip.com claimed: "It was communicated to people during Toronto International Film Festival that they are [back together] but they're worried about how it might affect his career, like whether or not there will be some kind of crazy backlash."

These reports came soon after Kristen insisted she and Rob were "totally fine", despite her cheating drama.

And this week Kristen appeared more cheerful than usual and looked positively glowing at the New York screening for her upcoming movie, On The Road.

So perhaps it’ll come as a shock to the starlet that Rob is only willing to keep their relationship at a professional level.

After photos emerged of Kristen in a passionate clinch with Rupert, 41, this summer, she was quick to own up and apologise for her actions.

She said in a statement: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected.

"This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

What will become of these two?! We've really no idea.
