So...What Did Adele's Ex-boyfriend Actually Do?

Adele is flawless. She's the refreshing voice in a sea of mindless pop, the one we turn to when our hearts are broken (or we just want to scream Rolling in the Deep during Karaoke). But time and time again we've heard that her songs are inspired by a particular ex-boyfriend, and apparently her new album '25' has a good chunk dedicated to the man who broke Adele's heart and so its made us wonder - what on earth did he do?!

Plenty of artists process their emotions and log their life experiences into a song. Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake are all examples of singers who revealed snippets of their past high-profile relationships to song.

The thing is, they only seem to dedicate one or two songs to their ex, right? However, it sounds like both '21' and Adele's latest album '25' are largely focused on one past relationship so we have to ask - just what did her ex do?!

Our favourite funny girl Caitlin Moran was the first to ask this question, leading to the somewhat brilliant hashtag #whatdidadelesboyfrienddo.
