Spice Girls rehearse for Sunday's Olympic closing ceremony
The Spice Girls still haven’t officially confirmed they will be performing at Sunday’s London 2012 Olympic closing ceremony extravaganza.

But Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Mel B were all spotted rehearsing on podiums atop decked out trademark black London cabs.

Fans worldwide are delighted to see the nineties girl band back together, especially after reports emerged which cast the reunion in doubt.

The five-piece are said to be manically working away to perfect their routine at the Ford car plant in Dagenham, east London, alongside other acts including the Pet Shop Boys, Jessie J, Annie Lennox, Tinie Tempah and George Michael.

Millions around the globe are expected to tune in to see Posh Spice, Baby Spice, Ginger Spice, Sporty Spice and Scary Spice re-enact their signature moves and belt out their hit songs.

Mel C, aka Sporty Spice, first fuelled rumours of a Spice Girls reunion earlier this year after saying it would be a snub if the band were not involved in the Olympics in some way.

She said: “I’d be really upset if the Spice Girls weren’t included in the Olympics, whether it be the opening or closing ceremonies or any other playlists, because I think we absolutely represented Britain in the 90s.
“We literally flew the flag - and Geri even wore it - around the globe. We were proud to be British and to be successful internationally, and we were the last band probably to do that.
“So I think it would be a real shame if we weren’t acknowledged in some way at the Olympics.”
While rehearsing, the girls were seen flashing the peace sign as they prepare to bring back their “Girl Power” slogan for the show.
Their costumes for the event are a closely guarded secret, but each singer was dressed in their characteristic style at rehearsals yesterday.
Victoria of course wore black, and the mother-of-four looked stunning in a pair of super-tight leather trousers, black top, obligatory sky-high black heels and large sunglasses.
Emma looked girlie in a green floral dress and baby pink sparkly heels - a nod to her Baby Spice alter-ego - and Mel B stood out in a skin-tight white outfit with black knee-high boots.
Mel C and Geri both went for a more casual rehearsal look, with Mel wearing black leggings, trainers and baggy top, and Geri sporting denim shorts, a khaki vest and heeled boots.
