Strictly Come Dancing 2012: A spooktacular Halloween special

Strictly Come Dancing accroche

Strictly fans will surely be in for a treat tonight as the current crop of Strictly Come Dancing celebrities are set to take part in a spooktacular Halloween special.

Promising horrors-a-plenty this weekend, the remaining 12 contestants will be dancing to a whole host of favourite Halloween tracks.

Olympic gymnast Louis Smith and his partner Flavia Cacace will be doing the zombie tango to Rihanna’s pop hit Disturbia.

While Colin Salmon and Kristina Rihanoff are going back to the 70s to shake it to Stevie Wonder’s track Superstition.

Denise Van Outen and James Jordan, who are currently topping the leaderboard, will attempt to continue their spectacular run with a high-energy Cha Cha to Rick James’ record Superfreak.

Lisa Riley also looks set to wow this weekend with Robin Windsor, as the pair dance a fast-paced Charleston to classic tune Witch Doctor by Don Lang.

Soon-to-be-married cyclist Victoria Pendleton will be a corpse bride for the night as she walks up the aisle to Billy Idol’s song White Wedding, with Brendan Cole as her undead husband.

Other Strictly contestants will be performing spooky routines to famous Halloween songs from iconic films and television programmes including Weird Science, Ghostbusters and Scooby Doo.

Hopefully the judges will be deeming their performances as more of a treat than a trick, although Craig Revel Horwood will most likely be in a monstrous mood as usual!
