Strictly revealed: Jerry Hall’s ridiculous diva demands
This weekend Strictly Come Dancing finally returns to our screens.
Tonight will see six celebrity contestants take to the floor, with the remaining eight showing off their moves tomorrow evening.
While the 2012 Strictly showdown is about to begin, a cheeky inside source has spilled all of the gossip about the latest set of celebrity contestants, including who's the biggest diva and who's already not seeing eye-to-eye.
Last year, Nancy Dell’Olio took the title of the most demanding diva, but it would appear that Jerry Hall is giving the Italian a run for her money after asking for “mood lighting” during her performance.
According to the MailOnline, the statuesque Texan-born model has reportedly requested a 360-degree mirror in her dressing room, flowers and champagne after every performance and her own team of make-up artists and hair stylists.
Jerry has previously admitted that her children were shocked she even signed up for Strictly as she is fairly “lazy” and reportedly the high-maintenance model has just been spending an hour or so rehearsing before going off to have a long lunch with partner Anton Du Beke.
Anton apparently had a hard time with Nancy last year and was initially annoyed to be paired up with another “joke” candidate, but him and Jerry have been getting on like a house on fire.
An insider on the BBC show revealed: “She's enormous fun but, my God, she's so camp!
“They are both as bonkers and grand as each other.”
The source let slip that the production team have hilariously nicknamed the comedy duo “'Ton and Jerry” after the famous animated cat and mouse duo.
While the 56-year-old is laughing it up with Anton, Olympic gold medallist Victoria Pendleton is much more concerned with performing to the very best of her abilities for her national TV dancing debut.
The former Olympic athlete is said to be ruthlessly determined to wow everyone with her dancing skills and has been pushing herself further than any other celebrity, training for up to 30 hours a week.
A Strictly insider told the MailOnline: “Victoria is very stressed about not performing well. She simply can't get her athletic body to do what it needs to do.”
The 31-year-old cyclist previously commented: “We have accepted that I just don't move naturally, so Brendan tells me exactly where every single part of my body needs to be. Otherwise I can guarantee that I'd do it wrong.”
The source even goes so far as to allege that Victoria plays a tape of her chosen dance music, complete with instructions from partner Brendan Cole, on a loop while she sleeps with the hope that it will penetrate her subconscious.
Sounds almost as tough as Olympic training!
