The BAFTAs 2016: The Winners And The Losers

Ah the BAFTAs. What a night it was. Stephen Fry charmed the audience (and us) with his wit, but more importantly his bottle green velvet suit. Maggie Smith and Leonardo DiCaprio had a bit of action with the BAFTA Kiss Cam, and Rebel Wilson brought down the house with a brilliant speech. In fact, so much happened, we almost forgot that it was a night for people to actually win awards. So who took away a bronze face this year?

This award ceremony was definitely more watchable than most. Celebrating the best of British cinema, the night was full of typical British banter, kiss cams and hilarious speeches. But who was up there on the podium thanking their families this year? While the competition has been tough this year, it seemed almost inevitable that Leonardo DiCaprio would be walking away the Best Actor for his role in The Renevant, which also took home Best Film and Best Director for Alejandro Iñárritu.

Meanwhile, Spotlight took home Best Original Screenplay, Kate Winslet could barely contain herself while accepting Best Supporting Actress for her role in Steve Jobs, and Brooklyn took home the award for Outstanding British Film. Check out the list of winners and losers this year for yourself...
