With the auditions stage of The X Factor 2012 at an end, the show is moving on to boot camp.

The X Factor 2012 revealed: Judges' houses gossip and drama

Gary Barlow

Once that's over and done with and the weaklings have been culled, we'll watch the judges take their allocated categories to their 'houses' for their final decisions on who they'll take through to the live shows.

And with reportedly only three spots available in each category, it's set to be more full of drama than ever.

Head judge Gary Barlow enlisted the help of former panellist Cheryl Cole to decide on his final acts.

Though he'd originally decided to take his lot to Barcelona, this is believed to have been scrapped following the tragic loss of his stillborn daughter Poppy.

Instead, Gary, 41, reportedly decided on the (reasonably) down-to-earth location of Northamptonshire's Boughton House - though this didn't stop Chezza arriving by helicopter.

Former N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos, 23, decided on a slightly more tropical location - the Camden-born singer and her rapper pal Tinie Tempah travelled to St Lucia with her category.

And Louis Walsh, 60, shocked us all in apparently deciding against bringing his contestants to his native Ireland.

Instead, the veteran judge and his friend Sharon Osbourne headed to Las Vegas to narrow down his favourite hopefuls.

It probably wasn't as fun as it sounds, though, as Louis apparently enforced a curfew on the contestants.

Finally, newbie Nicole Scherzinger, 34, decided to travel to scorching hot Dubai, where Ne-Yo helped her make some tough decisions.

But not all went smoothly for Nicole and her category, as the Pussycat Doll reportedly got in trouble with her neighbours when the party she threw at her villa got out of hand.

It's easy to forget that amongst all this, the judges are trying to find the UK's next big pop star.Let's just hope they're more Leona Lewis than Leon Jackson.
