Ruth Oosterman is an artist who decided that her two-year-old daughter's drawings deserved to be made as beautiful as possible. In a stroke of genius Ruth painted over the drawings, using the lines as inspiration to make so much more from the pictures. The result is truly beautiful...

Apparently during pregnancy, self-taught artist Ruth went through a creative block with her work, so it's a good thing her daughter helped her out once she came along! At only two-years-old, Ruth has made her daughter, Evie, an artist in her own right, using Evie's messy scribbles to make stunning pieces of art.

We think this mother-daughter art team is an amazing idea. Ruth turns Evie's work into landscapes, elephants, owls and people. We think it's fair to say that our own drawings from childhood (still kept in the attic, obviously) pale by comparison!
