TOWIE producers quit Essex to create Indian version of show?
Producers of the Essex reality show are said to be leaving the UK to start up another version in India.
A source told The Sun: "Mumbai is just like Essex in a strange way - it's teeming with young people who are obsessed with themselves.
"Bosses are looking for vain, good-looking pals to take the central roles and it hasn't been hard."
Lime Pictures are said to be on the lookout for the next Joey Essex or James 'Arg' Argent to star in the new programme, which will focus on the social elite in the big city.
The new venture is being planned for an Indian broadcaster but could also be shown in the UK.
The source continued: "Just like in Brentwood, the Mumbai social scene is all about looking your best and bitching about your pals and rivals."
Don't worry - the UK version will still enjoy a seventh series. And it promises big changes with a completely new production team in charge.
