Tulisa defends Cher Lloyd after V Festival urine bottling
The Want U Back singer had to cut her performance short after audience members threw glass and plastic bottles at her, some containing urine.
After the attack Cher
reportedly was tearful as she attempted to go back on stage, only for more bottles to be thrown, so the performance had to be abandoned altogether.
Outspoken X Factor
judge Tulisa Contostavlos
has since labelled the incident as “adult bullying” and condemned those who tried to intimidate the 19-year-old former X Factor contestant.
The 24-year-old brought up the subject at Capital FM and the self-styled ‘Female Boss’ didn’t hold back with her strong opinions about the “ridiculous” behaviour against the young singer.
Tulisa said: “I just call it adult bullying, it's ridiculous. You think when you get older people get over that sort of stuff and people forget how young she is and vulnerable.”
The former N-Dubz singer empathised with Cher, especially as she admitted experiencing similar attacks in the past.
She told the radio station: “I get bottles thrown at me all the time, but I'm so used to it that I'm just ducking and diving and carry on singing.
“You know me, I'll have a go at the person who does it anyway so it doesn't really bother me as much.
“But for someone like her, I just think, she's only young. It's out of order.”
Tulisa clearly isn’t mucking around - she recently took on Lord Sugar after he took to Twitter to publicly question her credentials as an X Factor judge.
The Apprentice star tweeted: “Can you tell me who the hell this Tulisa bird is on X factor, she's in the celeb section of the sun and mirror every day. What has she done.”
Lord Sugar continued: “This Tulisa talks nonsense on X factor, what qualifications does she have to judge singing talent. Please advise where I am missing the point.”
Tulisa wasted no time in responding personally to the 65-year-old businessman’s jibes, writing: “As someone that came from nothing to something maybe u should have a little more respect for people that have done the same.
"I have grafted from the age of 11 with my band NDUBZ, we wrote & produced all our music, sold 3 platinum albums,3 sell out tours the last being an arena tour & a number 1 debut solo single!
“I have worked my b***dy ass off! So mr lord of judgement… stick to judging on the Apprentice & I'll stick to what I know MUSIC #itsaNOfromme.”
Perhaps Tulisa and Cher Lloyd
should go on tour together so the ‘Female Boss’ could teach the Swagger Jagger singer how to swiftly deal with any haters!
