Victoria Beckham dedicated Spice Girl show to David and kids
made millions of Spice Girl fans’ dreams come true when she joined her former bandmates on stage at the London Olympic closing ceremony.
Their performance atop customised black London cabs was one of the highlights of the show and proud Victoria has since dedicated her performance to husband David Beckham
and her four children.
Reportedly Victoria was the last one of the Spice Girls
to sign up to the reunion, allegedly because she thought it would negatively affect her status as a respected fashion
But it seems like Victoria is pleased with the decision to join the girls one last time to perform Wannabe and Spice Up
Her rep told Us Weekly: "It was an amazing night and she loved every minute of performing with the girls.
“The atmosphere was phenomenal, and she dedicated the performance to David and the boys, who were watching in the audience."
The 38-year-old fashion designer’s four kids - sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 9, and Cruz, 7, and 13-month-old daughter Harper - were spotted cheering on their mum alongside devoted dad David.
And Victoria wasn't the only Spice Girl to be chuffed about the reunion.
Geri Halliwell, a.k.a. Ginger Spice, said to Us Weekly: “How wonderful that the world could truly unite and celebrate each other through sports and music, celebrating with 4 billion people!
"I'm so proud we could be part of it, thank you to my fellow Spice Girls who are shining examples of wonderful women and all the fans who cheered for us.”
The Spice Girls shot to fame in 1994, but then split following Geri’s departure in 2000, although they returned for a short-lived reunion tour in 2007 and 2008.
The five members - Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) and Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) - are widely regarded as the most successful female pop group of all time.
We’re glad the pop quintet enjoyed the reunion as much as their fans!
