Victoria Beckham refuses Katherine Jenkins' dress request?
It’s surely a sign that all’s not well between the two women as Victoria Beckham has reportedly refused Katherine Jenkins' request to borrow one of her designs.
The 38-year-old was said to be devastated by Katherine’s recent out-of-the-blue public tweets denying that she had been having an affair with David Beckham.
The Welsh singer insists that she was responding to rumours she had a fling with the married father-of-four, but the former Spice Girl was apparently infuriated that she commented at all.
In contrast, Victoria maintained a dignified silence, but reportedly has let it be known that the 32-year-old is no longer welcome to wear her designs at red carpet events.
An insider told Heat magazine: “After Victoria had to deal with the embarrassment over Katherine's 'confession' that she was not having an affair with David, it's no surprise that Katherine wasn't wearing one of Victoria's latest creations [at the GQ Awards].
"Katherine has worn Victoria's dresses at least eight times - mainly at awards ceremonies. But given the recent events, no-one could blame Posh for holding back on this occasion."
Like many other female celebrities, the former Dancing With The Stars contestant loves Victoria’s chic and flattering designs.
Her latest Spring/Summer 2013 show at New York Fashion Week on Sunday was met with rapturous applause and praise, but by the looks of things Katherine will not be sporting any clothes from the Victoria Beckham label in the near future.
It’s not the end of the world for the blonde singer though, as other design powerhouses clearly have no problem kitting her out for the red carpet.
Team GB designer Stella McCartney lent Katherine one of her famous optical illusion dresses for the recent GQ Awards.
Even though Katherine has since received death threats for her controversial tweets, she told Heat last week: “I think I did the right thing. I had to stand up for myself and I felt like I needed to do it. Everyone's been so positive and supportive."
