Cash-strapped Brits are turning to the Net for Christmas bargains this year, with 77% of festive shoppers doing at least half of their purchasing online, according to IMRG - up from 56% in 2007. eBay sold 27 items per second on Sunday 7th December, its busiest weekend of the year.
The average Brit will still spend £23 per gift, £5 less than last year, but eBay's Richard Kanareck says that despite the economic downturn, this is a 'no compromise' Christmas for savvy shoppers.
If you're buying online, just make sure your gifts arrive in time!
