Singer Leona Lewis has been named Person of the Year 2008 by animal rights organisation PETA. The award was given to the former X-Factor winner in recognition of her compassion towards animals, including her plans for a vegan fashion line and her refusal to open the Harrods Christmas sale because they sell fur. On top of that, Leona earned herself the crown of Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity in a poll conducted by PETA earlier this year.
