Vivienne Westwood showcased her eco-inspired autumn/winter 2009 collection in Paris this weekend, with a jungle of rich, dense pieces running wild on the podiums. There were female warriors in ripped painted dresses, fake fur cavewoman-style capes, butterflies, snakes and bright flower designs painted by primary school children in the collection, entitled 'Chaos Point.'
A powerful collection 100% inspired by nature.
Further highlights from the Parisian podiums: Dior's sunny collection of red, fuschia and purple by Galliano (no drab grey next winter); Atsuro Tayama's sizzling red dresses, capes, skirts and coats; and Gaspard Yurkievich's Seventies-inspired collection of crazy designs, silk dresses and, of course, leggings.
