EastendersEastenders is set in the London Borough of Walford... which doesn't really exist.
If it did, the Walford East tube stop (also fictional) would be somewhere between West Ham and Bow Road in East London.
The action centres around the inhabitants of Albert Square.
As with most British soaps, the characters can often be found in their local pub, The Queen Victoria or 'Queen Vic' as they say.
Bit of Eastender's trivia for you...
The Walford postcode E20 didn't really exist when Eastenders was created in 1985 but recently E20 has been.chosen as the new postcode for the London 2012 Olympic Park.
As well as the pub, the characters of Eastenders spend a lot of their time in various places around the Square and not too much else - it's an exciting life living on the Square.
