Hollyoaks historyHollyoaks started back in 1995 and focused on the Hollyoaks Community College and the students there.
Hollyoaks village is set as a suburb of Chester though no such place exists.
Though the cast has grown from 5 central characters to over 50 cast members, Hollyoaks still has a younger character base than other long-running UK soaps.
And when we say young, what we mean is hot, very hot.
There's a reason why this is one of the only Soaps with a babes Calender each year, Dot covered in oil doesn't quite have the same appeal.
Bit of soap trivia for you: some of the studio locations in Hollyoaks were previously used in other TV series.
The SU Bar was used in Brookside and the school is actually Grange Hill!
