You have a balanced approach

Although you occasionally display control freak tendencies, you know when to rein it in and generally you lead a healthy and balanced life.

There is a lot of benefit to being organised and planning ahead, but at the same time allowing spontaneous things to happen.

Out-of-the-blue invitations and life’s little speed bumps don’t send you through a loop, but make sure you don’t find yourself inadvertently veering in either direction.

Hypnotherapist Ailsa Frank advises: "Think of life as the same as a baker making bread – some things need a lot of attention such as getting the ingredient quantities right, kneading the dough enough and making nice shapes of bread. But then some parts of life take care of themselves with little intervention from the baker, such as the bread rising and the oven baking the bread. You don't need to control everything but instead taking charge where necessary will give you a healthy balance.”

Psychological therapist Tim Martin says: "To create equilibrium for both extremes requires the creation of a balanced approach. Invest in planning, but within reason. You have to recognise that you cannot cater for every eventuality and you have to learn to draw the line in what you can influence.”

Help others around you find a similar sense of balance in life – encourage them to say yes to opportunities whilst also maintaining a routine that is structured. It’s tricky but it can be done - you're proof of that!
