Winding down
If the date has gone well, the man should always see his date safely to their door or at least, into a cab.
If a man makes an excuse and is hasty to leave, it could mean he’s trying to avoid a kiss and is going about it in a way to avoid embarrassment on both of your behalf.
He may apologize for having to leave early, but use your judgment to tell the difference and if he is giving you the brush off, be strong and try to appreciate he’s trying to minimize the potential fallout.
Equally, if he’s late to see his Grandma in hospital, don’t write him off entirely.
