Ingredients :
1 small pot Bulgarian-style yoghurt
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt & pepper
1 teaspoon chopped herbs of your choice - tarragon, chives, parsley, coriander and basil all work well,
OR 1/2 teaspoon spices - try curry, cumin powder and nutmeg
Recipe :
1-Put the salt, pepper and lemon juice in a small bowl.
2-Add yoghurt and adjust seasoning if necessary.
3-Add herbs or spices just before serving.
Advice :
Be flexible with your choice of herbs and spices, adapt them to the salad you are serving. Try the ideas below :
Carrots go well with curry powder.
Cabbage and cumin go well together.
Tomato goes with basil.
Chives complement potatoes.
Tarragon brings out the flavour of rice and green salad.
