Rating
Type of dish : Dessert
To serve : 6
Preparation : 15 min
Cooking : 125 min
Budget : Cheap
From : United Kingdom
Difficulty : Easy

Ingredients :
1 tin sweetened whole condensed milk
3 big bananas
Packet digestive biscuits or hobnobs
50g butter
whipped cream and grated chocolate to decorate

Recipe :
Crush biscuits in a freezer bag.
Melt butter in a pan and mix with biscuits until they start to stick together. Transfer mixture to cake tin, compact and flatten biscuits into a base and refrigerate.
According to instructions on the condensed milk, place in a pan of boiling water and boil for 2 hours. Remove the tin, cool and open carefully. It should have caramelised into toffee. Cover the biscuit base with the toffee, slice up bananas and arrange all over.
Serve topped with whipped cream and grated chocolate.

Advice :
You can also buy ready-made banoffee topping if you're short of time.
