Potato, beans, sausage and cheese pie

Rating
Type of dish : Main course
To serve : 6
Preparation : 10 min
Cooking : 40 min
Budget : Cheap
From : United Kingdom
Difficulty : Easy

Ingredients :
6 Potatoes, peeled
4 Sausages
2 Large cans of baked beans
As much cheese as you want
Salt for seasoning

Recipe :
1-Wash, peel and cut potatoes into medium chunks (to reduce cooking time). Boil for around 30 minutes on a high heat. While potatoes are boiling, cook sausages in the oven on a high heat, until they are to the way you like them.

2-Take potatoes off the heat and mash (you can add butter to the mash if you want, but it doesn't really need it). Grate cheese while sausages continue to cook.

3-Cut up the sausages and arrange them in the bottom of a shallow oven proof dish (like a lasange dish, for example). Pour beans straight from the can over and around them. Smooth the mashed potato over the top. Sprinkle cheese all over the top of the pie. Return it to the oven, so the beans begin to cook and the cheese melts (this takes around 5-10 minutes)

Advice :
I always cook this when I'm looking after kids, they all love beans and cheese so they eat it ALL up! My little sister likes it with ketchup, other kids I look after like it with a slice of bread and butter.
I cut the sausages into pretty big chunks so they can be picked out if you don't like them but your kids do.
