Ingredients :
1 bottle red wine (Bordeaux is best)
180g sugar
1 slice lemon rind
1 small handful cloves
1 pinch cinnamon
Recipe :
Gently heat the wine, sugar, lemon rind, cloves and cinnamon in a large pan, over a low heat.
Do not boil!
Serve hot.
Advice :
Drink with German apple Cake, Rhubarb tart, German Cherry Pie or Berlin Brioche.
