Face pie

Ingredients :
sweet pastry
jam, sugar, melted chocolate or apple sauce
sweets or dried fruit to decorate
 
Recipe :
Get the kids to draw their favourite person's face on a piece of cardboard, then cut it out carefully, with scissors.

Roll out the pastry and divide into two halves.
Put your cardboard cut-out on one and cut round it, but do not cut out the eyes or mouth.
Place your cut-out on the other half and cut round it, then carefuly add holes for the eyes and mouth too.
Spread the bottom half with a thick layer of your child's favourite filling.
Place the 'face' on top.
Put in the oven and cook for 20-30 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
Decorate while still warm.
