Shallot and cinnamon tart

Rating
Type of dish : Starter
To serve : 6
Preparation : 35 min
Cooking : 25 min
Budget : Cheap
From : Exotic
Difficulty : Easy

Ingredients :
1 pack ready-made pastry or puff pastry
12 shallots
3 eggs
150ml skimmed milk
50g grated cheese
3 tablespoons low-fat creme fraiche
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
Salt & pepper

Recipe :
Preheat oven to 400°F (210 ° C).
Roll out pastry, then line a greased 28 cm flan dish. Cook blind for 10 mintes.

Meanwhile, peel and slice shallots.
Sweat onions in a frying pan with a little olive oil.
Beat the eggs, add grated cheese, cinnamon, salt and pepper. Add the shallots once soft and mix well.
Pour mixture into flan dish, sprinkle with sesame seeds, then cook in oven for 25 minutes.

Advice :
Makes a great summer lunch, served with salad - try lamb's lettuce for a buttery flavour.
