Ingredients :
1 packet sweet pastry
5 pears
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
2 crushed cloves
1 pinch ground ginger
1 sachet vanilla sugar or ac ouple of drops vanilla essence
3 pinches nutmeg
1 soup spoon honey
50g butter
1 tart dish, suitable for flambéing
Recipe :
Prepare pears: peel them, core them and cut each one in half.
Melt butter in your flan dish itself, over a low heat. Ad spices and honey.
Allow to caramelise lightly.
Arrange pears in dish, allow to caramelise then drizzle with more caramel.
Remove dish from heat, leave for 20 mins.
Cover pears with pastry.
Bake in hot oven, preheated to 180°C (250°F) for half an hour.
Serve warm with custard or cream.
Advice :
Great with a glass of cider!
