| Biography | Published by sophieb17 | Tina Turner, the high-priestess of R&B and soul, started her career as backing voacalist to Ike Turner. Two years later, she became the star, and the couple hit the charts with 'A Fool in Love' (1960). It was in the '80s that Tina Turner really made her mark, most memorably for her hit single 'What's Love Got To Do With It?' (1984). Her subsequent album 'Private Dancer' was a huge success and she also went on to star in 'Mad Max: Beyond Thunderstorm'. Tina released 'Simply the Best' in 1991 and sang the hit theme tune 'Golden Eye' for the Bond film in 1997. |
