Biography - Kate Hudson | Published by karoltkf | Kate Hudson, daughter of actress Goldie Hawn and musician Bill Hudson, was born in LA in 1979. Unsurprisingly, she decided to persue a career in film, but has done so without capitalising on her parental fame. She had her screen debut with 'Desert Blue' (1998) followed by 'Gossip' (2000). However, her big break came when Sarah Polley dropped out of Cameron Crowe's 'Almost Famous' (2000). Hudson, who had a small role, begged for the part of 'Band Aid', Penny Lane. Crowe was impressed both by her ability and her dedication, and Hollywood immediately embraced her as its sweetheart: she has since starred in 'Four Feathers' (2002), 'Le Divorce' (2003) and 'Raising Helen' (2004). Hudson is married to Chris Robinson, lead singer of The Black Crowes and together they have a son, Ryder. |
