| Biography |  Published by rutembl | David Ginola started his football career at OGC Nice and moved around before settling with Paris Saint Germain. His International debut was against Albania in 1990 and he went on to take 17 caps for France. He was voted French player of the year in 1994 then, In 1995 he crossed the channel to play for Newcastle United. Ginola was sold to Tottenham in 1997 and in 1999 he won the Football Writer and PFA 'Player of the Year Award' after helping Spurs to the Worthing Cup title. In 2000 he made his final move before retirement, playing for Aston Villa. Off the pitch, Ginola is famous for shaking his long shiny locks for l'Oréal (he's worth it!), whilst being involved in 'Walk Without Fear', the Red Cross' anti-landmine campaign. Ginola is married with two children. He enjoys horse riding and golf, not to mention French cuisine. |
