Roger Federer, who was born in Basel, Switzerland (1981) is currently ranked the number one tennis player in the world. He has scooped 22 singles and 6 doubles titles in his short career, plus more than $14 million in prize money. Victories for 2004 include the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the Tennis Masters. Off the tennis court, Federer has a line of men's cosmetics and has also set up a charitable foundation, which funds projects to benefit disadvantaged children and provide sporting opportunities for youngsters.
