Lauren Ambrose's first role came in 1997, when she starred in 'In & Out' with Kevin Kline and Matt Dillon. But, she is better known for her part as Claire Fisher in the dark comedy drama, 'Six Feet Under'. Raised in New Haven, Conneticut, Ambrose is also a classically trained opera singer. She lives in LA with her husband Sam.
