| Biography |  Published by berenguer1 | Gael García Bernal was born 30 October 1978, in Guadalajara, Mexico. His parents were actors, and he followed in their footsteps from a young age. He studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and soon afterwards starred in his first major film, the highly acclaimed 'Amores Perros' (2000). This was followed by Alfonso Cuarón's 'Y tu mamá también' (2001). In 2004 he played Ernesto Guevara, in 'The Motorcycle Diaries', directed by Walter Salles and based on the memoires of Cuban Revolution leader, Che Guevara. Bernal is also famous for having dated Natalie Portman. |
