Cindy started her in modeling career aged fifteen, while living in DeKalb, Illinois. Three years later in 1983, she competed in the 'Look of the Year' competition and was placed among the top 15 finalists.

She went on to become one of the original 'supermodels' alongside the likes of Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista. Cindy has appeared on over 600 magazine covers worldwide and spent nearly half her life in wardrobe, hair and makeup!

Known for her business head, she has headed campaigns for Pepsi, Revlon, Citroen and Omega and also hosted a show on MTV. In 1992 she released her workout video called 'Cindy Crawford: Shape your Body', it sold over two million copies and its success was followed by her second video 'The Next Challenge'.

Married briefly to Hollywood actor Richard Gere, she now has a family with second husband Rande Gerber.
