| Biography |  Published by noah200441 | Born in New York, Claire Danes came to LA in 1994 at the age of fifteen to be cast in Speiberg's epic 'Schindler's List'. She turned this down, as no schooling could be provided for her in Poland. Instead, she went on to star in the hit TV series 'My So-Called Life'.
Her big screen debut came in 1994, when she played Beth March in 'Little Women', but it wasn't until she starred alongside Leonardo Di Caprio in 'Romeo and Juliet' (1996) that she hit the big time.
Since then she has been most notable for her performances in 'U Turn' (1997) with Joaquin Pheonix, and her stint in a thai prison in 'Brokedown Palace' (1999). In 2002 she acted alongside Oscar winner Nicole Kidman, in 'The Hours', then found herself in 'Terminator 3' in 2003.
Claire also graduated from Yale University in 2002, her mother is an artist and her father a photographer. |
