Jensen was born in Dallas, Texas on March 1st, 1978. As a teenager, he started his acting career in television commercials before landing his fist big role in the daytime soap opera Days Of Our Lives. After being passed over for the role of Clark Kent on Smallville, he ended up playing Jason Teague. Ackles finally found real success as Dean Winchester, fighting evil with his on-screen brother, played by Jared Padalecki, in the television series Supernatural.

An accomplished television actor, he has also played in Dawson's Creek, Sweet Valley High and Cybil.
