He worked on various radio stations before going into television. He presetnted Crufts, School's Out, and The Gundpowder Plot: Exploding the Legend. Best known for his presenting role on Top Gear, Hammond also presents Time Commanders and Should I Worry About...?
Hammond had a horrific high-speed car crash in September 2006, but has since made a remarkable recovery. He was well on the road to recovery within weeks, though doctors has expected the process to take 15 months.
Hammond lives in Gloucestershire with his wife Amanda and their daughters Isabella and Willow. |
