| Biography | Published by sassou170 | Robbie Williams can certainly draw a crowd. After cutting his teeth alongside Mark Owen in boy band Take That in the early nineties, had an image overhaul, launching himself on an unsuspecting music world as the Robie we know and love in 1996.
After a troubled period of drink and rug dependency, he re-recorded George Michael's 'Freedom' and sent it to the top of the charts. His first solo album 'Life Thru a Lens' went platinum in several countries. Several albums down the road, he is probably best known for his stirring pop ballads 'Angels', 'Not Regrets' and 'Millennium', all taken from his second album 'I've Been Expecting You'.
In 2001 he astonished music industry insiders by recording an album of Rat Pack covers in Los Angeles, with Frank Sinatra's backing band. 'Swing when You're Winning' was a huge success, including duets with stars like Nicole Kidman, Jane Horrocks and Jon Lovitz and was one of Robbies favourite projects to date.
SInce then, he has recorded 'Escapology' and released an album of greatest hits...thus far! |
