Colombian star Shakira can certainly move! Thanks to her sexy video, her frist hit 'Whenever, Wherever' went down like a house on fire all around the world and topped the charts in several countries.
Brought up in Colombia, with her Lebanese father and Colombian mother, she wrote her first song at the age of eight, before being noticed by a producer in 1990. Her first album, 'Magia', came out when she was in her teens, but she waited until she had finished her education to record her second, 'Peligro', which was released in 1993. Since then, she has been a huge success in Latin America, even collaborating with Gloria Estefan's husband Emilio, on her fourth album ' Donde Estan Los Ladrones'.
International fame came in 2002 as her first English-language album, 'Laundry Service' was a massive worldwide hit. Hits from the album included 'Underneath Your Clothes', 'Objection (Tango)' and 'Whenever, Wherever' .
