| Biography | Published by malikasifou | Bruce Willis first won the public over with his dirty vest and sexy stare as John McClane in the Die Hard films back in the eighties, but has since shown us that he can act as well, with parts in 'The Sixth Sense' and 'Armageddon', to name but a few.
Born in Germany, he grew up in the USA, dreaming of an entertainment career. As soon as he was able, he began doing TV advertisements and off-Broadway shows, before catching producer Sydney Lumet's eye, who offered him his first role, in 'The Prince of New York' in 1981. A role in the hit TV series 'Moonlighting' followed, before opportunity knocked with the role of John McClane, which was to make Willis his fortune. In 1987 he married starlet Demi Moore and his rosy future stretched before him.
His reputation was sealed with Tarantino's 1994 classic 'Pulp Fiction', after which he voiced several parts in animated projects, before going on to make 'The Fifth Element' with Milla Jovovich and 'Armaggeddon' alongside Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler.
Tired of saving humanity in the Die Hard films, Willis turned to director Night Shyamalan in the late nineties, with whom he made 'The Sixth Sense' and 'Unbreakable', which both topped the charts.
Since his marriage broke down in 200, he has tried his hand at comedy 'the Whole Nine Yards', but rumours of a forth Die Hard film have been heard on the Hollywood grapefruit... |
