Julie Anna Smith, was born on 3rd December 1961, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As a child, she loved to perform, going on to take an undergraduate degree at the University of Boston.
An experienced stage actress, she started her screen career with a TV film in the late eighties 'Tales from the Dark Side: The Movie', before moving onto film, with roles in 'Short cuts', by Robert Altman; 'The Fugituve', with Harrison Ford and 'Benny and Joon', opposite Johnny Depp.
Her talent and experience meant she was in constant demand, going on to film 'Safe', 'Boogie Nights', 'Jurassic Park' and 'The Big Lebowski'. She is a highly respected Hollywood actress.
