2005 Was U2's Year

Irish rockers U2 were the highest-earning artists of 2005.

Billboard magazine unveiled a new category today called Money Makers, and U2 tops the list, earning $255,022,633.35 over the last year.  In second place on the list are the Rolling Stones, who earned $152,356,754 last year.  Country singer Kenny Chesney took third place with $87,731,463.
