Superstar actor Tom Cruise was the highest paid actor for the year 2005. According to Quigley Publishing Co., Cruise has topped the list for the seventh time in his career. The list of the highest paid people in the cinema industry has been drawn up yearly since 1932, and the top 10 earners have been named. Johnny Depp was second on the list, with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ironically tying for third place. The remaining celebrities, in earnings order, are Vince Vaughn, George Clooney, Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler and Tom Hanks. |
