Regardless of the recent rumours to the contrary, Pink Floyd will not be reuniting for a tour in 2006. According to the BBC, guitarist and singer Dave Gilmour said, "certain sections of the media have deliberately misled fans. We are telling fans directly this is not happening". The rumours began after a story was written in the Sunday Mirror that the group had reserved two concert dates at London's Royal Albert Hall. The story seemed to be true, particularly because the band had recently reunited for the Live 8 concert in London last July. It was the first time they had appeared together live with Roger Waters, in 24 years. |
