Scotland Yard agents quizzed supermodel Kate Moss on Tuesday over the cocaine scandal which threatened to end her career last autumn. The model, who has not been arrested, was questioned about a video tape that seems to show her and a group of friends using cocaine in a recording studio, as her then-boyfriend Pete Doherty laid down tracks for his new album. Moss, 32, flew back to England by private jet for the first time since stills from the tape appeared in the British press last September. The star, who lost several lucrative contracts, then spent a month in a drug rehabilitation programme. According to police sources, she has not been cautioned, leaving her without a criminal record and free to work in the USA, where she is hoping to settle. She admitted 'full responsibility' for her actions in a statement released after the story broke, but police are said to be concentrating on the dealer who supplied the group.
Moss is thought to have been set up and filmed taking drugs by an acquaintance of her Doherty's, who is said to have made £150 000 from selling the pictures he filmed on his camera phone. Doherty himself is the next to be questioned. He is thought to know who is behind the deal, although denies having any part in it himself. |
