Former Culture Club singer, Boy George, was up in a Manhattan court today facing drug charges. Boy George, whose real name is George O'Dowd, was being questioned on charges relating to his arrest last October. The singer-turned-D.J. was arrested at his New York apartment after police answered a burglary call and found 3.5 grams of cocaine. After a brief discussion, the judge set the trial date for March 8th, to allow the defence to prepare the case. The singer and his lawyer maintain that the drugs did not belong to him, as many people had been in O'Dowd's appartment. |
