Kylie Minogue, who recently finished treatment for breast cancer, is now in full remission. Minogue's sister, Danni, revealed the good news on her official website, writing "My best news to start the new year is that my sister has had her 'full remission'." She added, "Last year was a difficult year for many people - I'M just happy we have a close family and could all support each other." Kylie Minogue, 37, was forced to cancel her concert tour when she was diagnosed with cancer in May 2005. After a partial mastectomy to remove a lump from her left breast, she underwent a course of chemotherapy at a well-known soecialist cancer clinic in Paris. She is now in remission, which means that her body is cancer-free, but will continue with radiotherapy as a precaution to prevent the return of the disease. Minogue hopes to return to her music by the end of the year and possibly set dates for her rescheduled tour. She is currently recovering at her parents' home, on an island two hours north of Melbourne. |
