Israel Ramirez, 29, was shot outside of a warehouse where Rhymes was shooting his latest video.  More than 500 fans were also gathered outside.  Missy Elliot and Mary J. Blige were inside the building with Rhymes at the time of the shooting.

According to police, violence errupted earlier in the evening near the studio.  No others were hurt in the shooting.  Ramirez, the father of three, was guarding the jewellery being used in the video shoot, when he was shot in the chest.

Police are currently looking for the culprit.  According to witnesses, at least a dozen shots were fired, but the reason for the shooting is unclear.
